“My method of practicing dentistry, like all areas of my life, has been largely shaped by my faith and the manner in which I was raised by my parents. My parents taught us to always do our best work and to always treat others in exactly the same manner that you would want to be treated. My parents also taught us to embrace life fully, with a lot of humor along the way! While our primary objective is to deliver excellent dental care, we strive to do so in a somewhat laid-back and enjoyable office environment. Our patients often say that they actually have fun at their appointments and that they don’t even mind coming to the dentist.”
Education and Continuing Education
Dr. Mark A. Fuhrman attended Moberly Senior High before graduating Magna Cum Laude from Truman State University. He was a graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, graduating in the top quarter of his class. He has since taken over 1000 hours of continuing education courses from some of the finest dental clinicians in the country. His practice style has been heavily influenced by the teachings of Dr. William Strupp, Dr. Gordon Christensen, Dr. Peter Dawson, and Dr. Michael Ditolla, among others.
Outside the Office
Dr. Fuhrman is married to the former Lisa Miller of Moberly. They always enjoy time with their daughters Heidi (Andy) Sharp and Gretchen (Jake) Allen and daughter Sunny, as well as their son Dane (Christina) Fuhrman and their children Pearl and Oren. When Mark isn’t talking about his grandkids, his other interests include hunting, camping and following amateur wrestling.
